On Monday, 26 November 2018, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Varėnos district municipality, on Lakštingalų street near No. 11, a vehicle hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
