On Saturday, 8 December 2018, in the morning at 9:28, in Panevėžys, on Žagienio street near No. 14A, a Peugeot 406 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was snow-covered.
