On Monday, 10 December 2018, in the evening at 17:42, in Klaipėda, on Liepojos street, a Ford Escape hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Ford (35 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
