On Sunday, 16 December 2018, in the evening at 17:35, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 154.50), an Opel hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the Opel (34 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
