On Friday, 21 December 2018, in the evening at 20:30, in Kaunas, on V. Krėvės pr. near No. 129, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Almera and an Opel Signum. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Nissan (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
