On Friday, 21 December 2018, in the evening at 22:35, in Kaunas, on Vaidoto street near No. 178, a BMW 330 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.07‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
