Opel hits a drunk pedestrian on the Joniškis–Vaineikiai–Šarkiai road
On Sunday, 23 December 2018, in the evening at 17:01, in Joniškio district municipality, on the Joniškis–Vaineikiai–Šarkiai regional road (kilometre 8.80), an Opel Astra-G-Caravan hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 45-year-old pedestrian (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by a 45-year-old pedestrian, who was lying on the carriageway. She was drunk. The driver was sober.
