On Monday, 24 December 2018, at night at around 2:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 34.40), a Ford Mondeo hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Ford (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober.
