On Friday, 28 December 2018, in the afternoon at 14:47, in Ukmergės district municipality, Vaitkuškio village, on the Kiti keliai local road (kilometre 2.08), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Ford Transit Connect and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (2.16‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. The 38-year-old driver of the Volkswagen had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
