On Saturday, 29 December 2018, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Vilniaus district municipality, on Vilniaus street, at the junction with Nemenčinės pl street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Volvo S60 and a Saab 9-5. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
