On Saturday, 12 January 2019, at night at 2:30, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Ariogala–Raseiniai–Kryžkalnis national road (kilometre 33.85), a Mercedes-Benz rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk and under the influence of psychoactive substances, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
