On Saturday, 12 January 2019, at night at 1:50, in Kaunas, on Pažaislio street near No. 12, a BMW 318 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.04‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
