On Monday, 14 January 2019, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Rietavo municipality, on the Kryžkalnis–Rietavas–Vėžaičiai national road (kilometre 60), a Renault Megane ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Renault (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
