On Monday, 14 January 2019, in the afternoon at 16:40, in Prienų district municipality, Gustaičių village, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 26), a Volvo FH12 registered in Poland rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Volvo (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
