On Monday, 21 January 2019, in the morning at around 8:00, in Vilnius, on Žygio street near No. 50, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Citroen C4 Picasso and a Mercedes-Benz CLK200. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Citroen (25 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered.
