On Saturday, 26 January 2019, in the afternoon at 12:45, in Klaipėda, on Liepų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo B12 and a Renault Scenic. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Volvo (32 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
