On Wednesday, 30 January 2019, in the evening at 22:25, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Onuškis–Butrimonys–Punia regional road (kilometre 14.20), a Seat Alhambra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Seat (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
