On Friday, 15 February 2019, in the morning at around 5:00, in Jurbarko district municipality, Paulių village, on the Raseiniai–Šilinė national road (kilometre 23.42), a Volkswagen hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 29-year-old car driver, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
