On Wednesday, 27 February 2019, in the afternoon at 11:47, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 20.70), a Mercedes-Benz hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.50‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 100 km/h.
