On Friday, 1 March 2019, at night at around 23:00, in Biržų district municipality, Parovėjos village, on Parko street near No. 37, a Peugeot 406 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.16‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
