On Saturday, 2 March 2019, in the afternoon at 11:40, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 34.24), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 and a Mercedes-Benz E 200 CDI. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Audi (1 year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (1.22‰ blood alcohol).
