On Friday, 19 April 2019, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 92), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Caddy and a Ford Mondeo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (9 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
