On Tuesday, 23 April 2019, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kaunas, on Užnemunės street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Peugeot 206. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 74-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (55 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
