On Monday, 6 May 2019, in the afternoon at 16:40, in Molėtų district municipality, on the Giedraičiai–Miežoniai–Dubingiai regional road (kilometre 5), a Honda Civic ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Honda, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (2.41‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
