On Tuesday, 7 May 2019, in the afternoon at 13:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 128.01), a Volkswagen Sharan hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 76-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (35 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
