On Wednesday, 8 May 2019, at night at around 1:00, in Kupiškio district municipality, Dailiūnų village, on Blaivybės street, an Alfa Romeo 156 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Alfa Romeo, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.28‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
