On Tuesday, 14 May 2019, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kaunas, on V. Krėvės pr. near No. 8, an Opel Omega hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 37-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 5-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Opel (20 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
