On Friday, 14 June 2019, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 97.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Touran and a Honda HR-V. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (29 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.50‰ blood alcohol).
