On Thursday, 20 June 2019, in the morning at 6:15, in Varėnos district municipality, on the Varėna–Nedzingė–Merkinė regional road (kilometre 10.80), a Honda Civic rolled over. Two people were injured — the 21-year-old driver of the Honda (hospitalized) and a 20-year-old passenger of the Honda (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Honda (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk.
