On Thursday, 27 June 2019, at night at 23:30, in Anykščių district municipality, Kurklių II village, on Antakalnio street near No. 10, a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Audi, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. A 30-year-old passenger of the Audi was drunk. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
