On Friday, 5 July 2019, in the evening at 17:15, in Prienų district municipality, on the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė national road (kilometre 32.60), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi 100 and a Citroen C5. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.40‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
