On Friday, 5 July 2019, in the evening at 17:30, in Mažeikių district municipality, on S. Daukanto street near No. 12, a KIA Motors hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 10-year-old driver of the KIA Motors, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
