On Monday, 8 July 2019, in the afternoon at 14:01, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 120), a BMW 530 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the BMW (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
