On Monday, 8 July 2019, in the evening at 19:47, in Plungės district municipality, on Gandingos street near No. 16, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Toyota Corolla Verso. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.73‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. A 34-year-old passenger of the BMW was drunk (2.13‰). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
