On Saturday, 20 July 2019, in the morning at 7:57, in Jonavos district municipality, on P. Vaičiūno street near No. 61, a Volkswagen Touran ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.02‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
