On Saturday, 20 July 2019, in the afternoon at 14:22, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 27.40), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 406, an Audi and a Renault. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Peugeot (5 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
