On Sunday, 21 July 2019, in the evening at 20:34, in Telšių district municipality, on S. Daukanto street, at the junction with Žarėnų street, at a pedestrian crossing, a Volkswagen Touran hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (46 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.47‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene.
