On Saturday, 27 July 2019, in the evening at around 22:00, in Trakų district municipality, Strėvos village, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 43), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 330D and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
