On Wednesday, 7 August 2019, in the evening at around 20:00, in Telšių district municipality, Kulšikų village, a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.57‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
