On Thursday, 8 August 2019, in the evening at 17:22, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 116), a Nissan Primera registered in Latvia rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the Nissan (35 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
