On Friday, 9 August 2019, in the afternoon at 11:40, in Šilalės district municipality, Stungaičių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 236.20), an Opel Vectra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Opel (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
