On Saturday, 10 August 2019, in the evening at 17:30, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 36.11), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and an Opel Zafira. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Audi, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
