On Wednesday, 14 August 2019, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kaunas, on Islandijos pl., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF, a BMW 740D and a trailer/semi-trailer > 10 t. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the DAF (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
