On Friday, 16 August 2019, at night at 1:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 126.90), a Skoda Superb hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Skoda (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
