On Wednesday, 21 August 2019, in the morning at around 10:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 114), a BMW 525 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the BMW (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, it was overcast, a strong wind was blowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
