On Saturday, 14 September 2019, in the morning at 9:12, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 19.60), a car ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of a car (22 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.77‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
