On Monday, 23 September 2019, in the evening at 19:46, in Druskininkų municipality, on M. K. Čiurlionio street near No. 99, at the junction with Vytauto street, a collision with a moped occurred. The collision involved an Opel Meriva and a Piaggio. One person was injured — the 15-year-old driver of the Piaggio (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Opel (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
