On Saturday, 5 October 2019, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kaunas, on Ateities pl. near No. 40, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Scania, a Moeslein, a BMW 330 and a Volkswagen Polo. One person was injured — the 40-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Scania (32 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. All drivers were sober.
