On Saturday, 12 October 2019, in the morning at 5:43, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Saulažolių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 292.70), a Toyota Land Cruiser rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
