On Wednesday, 16 October 2019, in the morning at around 7:00, in Kauno district municipality, Neveronių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 88), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Iveco and a Mercedes-Benz. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Iveco (10 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
